The Epson Ink Maintenance Tank is responsible for storing ink that is flushed from the system during print head cleanings. If an ink cartridge runs out or the maintenance tank reaches its service life limit, it must be replaced. The printer will notify you when the ink cartridge is running low or has been depleted, as well as when the maintenance tank needs replacement. Fortunately, the printer's maintenance tank can easily be replaced. Keep an eye on the levels and replace the tank when necessary.
